One of Europe's largest urban development projects, "Parkstadt Süd", is being built in the south of Cologne and will provide a home for up to 30,000 people. URBANLUST combines expertise with dynamic neighbourhood planning, resulting in an impressive fusion of form, colour and function that will shape Cologne's cityscape. Together with the artist Kirsten Lampert and Wienerberger, we are developing unique brick façades that capture the colours of Cologne.

URBANLUST
The products of Wienerberger AG demonstrate the results of precise material research: bricks and brick slips in the color shades Domgold, Kölnisch Grün, Hanseblau, Altes Rot, and Rheinkieselgrau. Their manufacture is based on regional clays that develop strong color brilliance and durability during the firing process.

URBANLUST
Together with Sto SE & Co. KGaA, a coordinated color and plaster system was developed that makes these color shades available. This combination of color and mineral-based plasters enables consistent materiality and coloration from the façade through to the interior.

URBANLUST
In collaboration with METTEN Stein+Design, the development was ultimately extended into public space. Concrete stone products form a robust, long-lasting foundation for squares, streets, and promenades. In this way, a complete product line has emerged that connects color, material, and city both conceptually and technically.
